Coatings not only improve the beauty of a building, it serves as a waterproofing agent to seal bug holes, cracks, and other surface imperfections. This is true in both cast-in-place concrete and precast construction. Hair line cracking, created at the time of the curing process, and working cracks, can be successfully treated with a coating. Coatings should be part of an on going preventative maintenance program. The cleaning, preparation of the surface, and application of the coating offers a prime opportunity for a quality inspection of the surface.
